Made a quick weekend trip to the mountains to enjoy some of the cold weather......... Or so we thought..... We rolled into town, hoping to see some snow, and snow we got. But it also brought some strong 30 knot gusts of freezing air along with it. As you might remember, almost exactly a month ago, I posted an EL Camino sketch. I have been searching all the classifieds, driving around neighborhoods trying to find the one. It's funny that after checking out 6 or 7 of these in person, I ended up going back and purchasing the very first one I looked at when I first began my search.  I picked up this 1980 EL Camino from an artist named Kevin Remillard. So my buddy Chris and I had planned to make a Cast and Blast trip up to Louisiana for some duck hunting and redfishing. But when the week arrived, a cold winter blast had just passed through Louisiana, and was headed towards Florida. We contemplated what to do, and decided to stay in Florida and hunt the East Coast. When Scott from Sarasota Florida contacted me about doing a custom piece for him of some Wood Duck decoys in a Texas rig, I was intrigued. I've drawn many things throughout my life, but a decoy was not one one of them. So I hit the drawing board with some pen and prismacolors and got to work. My first piece of 2018 was a blast.
